Master the Aggressive Poker Play Game and Become a Champion Player

Mastering the aggressive poker play can be the most difficult task of all as an advanced player. This is because mastering this type of play is not as simple as all out aggression. However, to be amoung the best players, you must find your aggressive game.

THE GOAL TO AGGRESSIVE POKER PLAY

Becoming an unpredictable aggressive player that mixes up your play and confuses your opponent is the goal.

You want to put your opponents on tilt, so they play poorly.
You want to interfere with their decision making process

It is the greatest challenge to push your player off a hand when you do not hold the best cards. You need to establish a table image that people fear calling you. This helps if you catch cards early on and continue to play as if you have the cards. Knowing when to push and when to back down, however, is critical to your success. It allows you to master the agressive poker play.

BEWARE:

If you try to do this too often, the other players catch on and call you. I have often sat at a table with this type of player and wondered why the player did not understand why they eventually busted out. It is because if you are all out aggression eventually you will get called and everyone will see you are calling or raising with the worst hand. Then you are no longer feared and you have not mastered the agressive poker play.

NARROW DOWN THE FIELD

It is preferred to be more aggressive in a hand when you can narrow down the field to one or two callers. You do not want to be in a hand with several callers and try to push them all off their hands through aggressive play. Being heads-up give you a bigger chance of winning any pot. So picking the right situations to pursue your aggressive poker play is another essential element.

In most cases, betting and being aggressive in your play style will cause your opponents to fold allowing you to win "free" pots. This is accomplished without having to show cards. If this happens , then your poker odds go up to 100% win! That's the best poker odds you can get.

Hence, this aggressive playing style will shift the odds in your favor. In any one pot, if you are the betting or raising you become the favorite to win. It improves the math for you. Everyone on the table become more cautious and they will be less likely to lead out against you in case you re-raise them. Whenever you apply pressure to another player, you have the strength in the hand and the other players are more fearful. You are the one now to set the pace at the table and lead the action.
