YOUR GOAL AT THE TABLE is to be UNPREDICTABLE!

You've got to keep the other player guessing about what she will do?

Different player types are tight, tight aggressive, and the maniac (loose) .

What IMAGE do you project? It is important to change your strategy and be a camillion.

If you are playing tight aggressive, where you are folding, folding, folding and then you raise , raise , raise...people will assume you have a hand when you raise...and fold the best hand because they will think you have them beat. Sometimes this can work against you if you do have a big starting hand and you want a caller.

MEN LACK EXPERIENCE PLAYING AGAINST WOMEN PLAYERS

Women have an advantage because most men do not have alot of experience playing against women. Men also may play differently against women then they do when playing with men. Some men like to see if they can intimidate women into folding a marginal hand even when they have nothing. This is when it is important to know your opponent and what the betting pattern in the current hand. You may be able to deduct that this male opponent is just trying to bet you out of the pot and may be time to re-raise him. This usually throws the male opponent who is trying to intimidate you out of the pot into a tail spin. It is important to take advantage of this.

TALKING AT THE TABLE

HOW DOES THIS IMPACT YOUR IMAGE OR YOUR STYLE AT THE POKER TABLE ?

Talking at the table can give other people a roadmap of how you think about poker.

We all think differently about how to play and what we " see " at the poker table.

If you talk about the hands at the table you are essentially giving your strategy away to others and providing critical clues to how you think about hands, This is a critical error in establishing and maintaining your image. In general, if you must talk, talk about something other than poker.

Bluff-ability

It is important to understand your table image so you know when and how to get away with a bluff. Bluffing is an essential component of any players game. Some players..mainly male players...play an aggressive bluffing game. This style works for awhile but then people at the table catch on and start calling the raise and re-raise even with marginal hands. So it become critical to switch up your style of play and make your table image unpredictable.
